I noticed that small business owners were often lost in the complex world of finances and lacked the personalised service and education they needed to understand and take control of their business finances.
Having someone come in and do end-of-year accounts didn’t necessarily mean the business owner had the day-to-day understanding of how financially sustainable their business was.
So, I created Balanced Books, a modern, caring, and approachable accounting service that provides tailored financial solutions.

My accounting qualifications include:
Post Grad Diploma in Chartered Accountancy, Institute of Chartered Accountants (2016)
Bachelor of Commerce, Majoring in Accounting, University of Otago (2010)
Although I have a PGDip in Chartered Accountancy, I am not a Chartered Accountant.
A Chartered Accountant has completed additional training and is part of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).
